Alan's three uncles were all killed in service during WWI. The widow or family of fallen soldiers received plaques called Widow's Pennies and while William has inherited two of the pennies, the location of one still remains a mystery. Alan has come to My Family Secrets Revealed hoping the team can uncover the third missing penny for his uncle, William Birch, in the hope that the penny has somehow remained in the family.
